Thankful Thursday

Once again I find myself saying "it's been a while". I haven't done much blogging in months, but here I am again.

I have so so soooooo much to be thankful for. Let's start:

• I have a roof over my head that doesn't leak
• I have a bed that isn't about to fall apart
• I DO have friends who will reach out when I need them to
• And even pick me up to take me to their house for coffee because I don't have a car right now
• Oh about that, the day the car broke down the weather was good, we managed to stop somewhere that wasn't right on a busy road AND we had two picnic chairs in the back of the car and a pack of cards! We had a lovely afternoon waiting for the truck.
• Even though we are currently down to one car, I will get to have a car for the coming week because hubby's work schedule means he gets to use one of the company cars from tomorrow until next Thursday. I just have to get up early enough to drive in with him tomorrow.
• I have two bright, intelligent, fun teenagers, who love life.
• I am getting to help them learn to cook.
• I am blessed with a wonderful husband who loves me very much.

FOR TODAY Tuesday 12th August...

Outside My Window...
It's a bit wet! We had a weather warning for the last part of the night and first part of the morning. AND my new treadmill was delivered right in the middle of it!

I am thinking...
that at some point I ought to go and move that treadmill from the hall to the living room and get it set up!

I am thankful for...
being able to get my boys woken up, dressed and downstairs in just about 3 minutes, when that delivery van arrived, because they had to help unload.

From the kitchen...
I have some part baked bread in the oven at the moment. Otherwise we're out of bread and without my car this week, I can't go get some more.

I am wearing...
cargo pants, and a brown and orange jersey top.

I am creating...
hmmmmmm, I REALLY need to do some creative stuff soon, but today I have a feeling that I might only be creating a mess as I take apart the big box the treadmill arrived in.

I am going...
to need a nap after we move that treadmill.

I am reading...
ooooh, youngest finished harry potter 7 yesterday, so I get to start reading it today.

I am hoping...
That I will get some energy back soon. I've been so tired since I had this cold a week or so ago.

I am hearing...
My boys arguing and moaning and whining.

Around the house...
Kitchen is an absolute mess. with the boys home all day for the summer, it's a nightmare. No-one around here clears up after themselves.

One of my favorite things...
Storytelling. Working on putting flesh on the bones of a new story that I absolutely love, TATTERCOATS.

A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week:
Need to do some reading and note making on a book for my job.
