Thank You God
Thank You, Thank You, Thank You God!
Went to a mini conference Friday evening and Saturday afternoon and evening.
It was Dennis and Melanie Morghan Dohner of Big God Ministries. They were visiting a small church about 50 minutes drive away from here. Well, it kind of took me 40 minutes on Saturday morning, but don't tell hubby! heeheee.
Saturday afternoon they spoke on Thankfulness, and I've also been listening to some of their tapes in the last few weeks from a previous meeting somewhere.
HOH! Thank You GOD! THANK YOU GOD! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU GOD!
Thank you that we all got to watch the lunar eclipse last night after the meting had finished. Thank you we got to see that awesome thing, thank you we were out in the country where there is much less light pollution. THANK YOU GOD!
THANK YOU GOD for wonderful fellowship with old friends who I have not seen in quite a while. It was such a blessed time.
Thank You God that I couldn't be at the last session of their visit this weekend. Thank you for that because it was because I GOT TO teach Sunday School instead! THANK YOU God that in that Sunday School session the oldest boy played me up by not participating at all. Thank you because that resulted in an early move up to youth group for him which is by far the better solution all round. He is the oldest boy by 4 years and was struggling, so THANK YOU GOD we have a solution that works for him.
Thank YOU God, for the fact that it has rained ALL DAY, Thank you because it has revealed how bad the problem with our leak in the hall is. THANK YOU GOD for the leak in our hall because it enabled hubby and I to see JUST HOW MUCH he has changed since the first time this happened a few weeks ago. THANK YOU GOD!
Thank You God for our current financial mess because it gives us the opportunity to see what wonderful thing you will do to solve that. Thank you GOD, PRAISE YOU GOD!
I was just explaining this new view on things to hubby and I said to him that I cannot promise that I will always be standing in this place, that I won't sometimes be IN the hole, BUT it is just changing the way I see things.
I mean, they told us the story of this church they visited, and the people needed a bigger meeting space, because they believed God had called them to bless their community and was going to increase their numbers etc but it wasn't a huge church numbers wise and certainly not a church with loads of money, so they bought an old bowling alley. And they converted the bowling alley, ON THEIR OWN. They did all the work, they ploughed everything they had into that project. And then, they were finished and they were ready, and from the photos, apparently it looked - like a bowling alley that had been DIY converted to a church, heehee. Well, they had the first service where they all got together, where they committed the building to the Lord, and they all prayed "Lord, we have put everything we have into this project, USE IT for YOUR purposes." and THAT night a tornado hit, and the whole building was trashed and spread over a number of miles!
And now?
Now they have a HUGE building, a beautiful building, because of all the insurance money and government funds etc that were available in the aftermath of the tornado. They are ministering in a huge way in their community as a result, from this amazing centre!
THANK YOU GOD! THANK YOU GOD! THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU GOD! THANK YOU GOD! THANK YOU GOD! THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU GOD!
Thank you, Lord for giving my sister such a beautiful faith lift!
ReplyDeleteOur church bought and converted a six-plex movie theater. We even got to keep the marquee. And it looks like....a movie theater converted into a church building! :-)
